IN THE STATE DUMA PROPOSED TO PROHIBIT CIVIL SERVANTS TO WORK ON THE IMAGENOW

A group of deputies from the Communist party and the liberal democratic party in the Duma introduced a bill to introduce ban on cooperation between the Russian senators, deputies and officials from NGOs as “foreign agents”. Details are given in the explanatory Memorandum, placed at the disposal of RIA Novosti.

In November 2012, the law obliged funded from abroad political NGOs to register as “foreign agents.” Now in the list of about 40 organizations.

Amendments should concern members of the Federal Parliament and all government and municipal employees. They will not be allowed to enter into the composition of the governing bodies, Trustees or Supervisory boards and other bodies non-commercial organizations performing the functions of foreign agents, but also to be their members.

“The urgency of the measures associated with the incompatibility of the activities of representatives of non-commercial organizations performing the functions of foreign agents with the state civil service, municipal service, as well as the activities of the representatives of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation”, – said in the text of the document.

The authors indicate that the professional activities of these people are focused on the enforcement powers of state bodies, and the bill proposed to eliminate the risk of disruption specified activities by persons with different, sometimes opposing objectives from abroad”.

Among the authors of the bill, the Deputy Chairman of the CPRF Central Committee Valery Rashkin and Secretary of the Central Committee Sergei Obukhov.
