On March 19, the Japanese Government announced it would send an invitation to representatives from 195 countries to attend the event of Crown Prince Naruhito coronation, after his father whose name is Emperor Akihito abdicated next month.
As planned, at the abdication ceremony it is expected to start from 17h00 on April 30 local time with the participation of 300 guests, including Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and cabinet members; Prime Minister Abe will express his gratitude to Emperor Akihito, before the Emperor gave a speech to the representatives of the people.

On May 1, Crown Prince Naruhito will be enthroned, receive clothes and items that symbolize the throne of the sword, jewelry. After the coronation ceremony, new Emperor will meet representatives of the people for the first time.
Abe and his wife Akie will host royal dinner on December 23rd to celebrate the new Emperor. In 2016, Emperor Akihito expressed his will to abdicate due to his advanced age and unsecured health. In June 2017, Japan issued a one-time effective law, whereby Emperor Akihito could abdicate and would be the first emperor in Japan to abdicate in the last 200 years, and Prince Naruhito would succeed.

Emperor Akihito was crowned in 1989 after his father who was Emperor Hirohito died. During the reign, Emperor Akihito is always respected and loved by Japanese people. Although not in political power, new Emperor played a very important role as a national symbol, presiding over the heads of countries to Japan, as well as carrying out foreign tours to promote the foreign relations of Japan.
