LNR CURRENTLY RECEIVES RUSSIAN GAS THROUGH GIS PROKHOROVKA

The self-proclaimed Luhansk national Republic (LNR) currently receives Russian gas through the gas metering station (GIS) “Prokhorovka”, told RIA Novosti the Minister of fuel, energy and coal industry LNR Dmitry Lyamin.

“We get gas through GIS “Prokhorovka” and lead him to a strict account,” said Lyamin on Wednesday, explaining that strict accounting is to ensure that in future no problems with payments for consumed Russian gas.

“Our position is that all you have to pay,” added the Minister LNR.

According to Gazprom, the gas supply to the South-East of Ukraine through the “Prokhorovka” and “Platoo” go under contract with Naftogaz. Accordingly, believes the Russian side, and to pay for them should the Ukrainian state company. Ukraine refuses to do it, citing the inability to control both the fact of direct supplies of Russian gas in the Donbass, and their volumes.

With the authorities LNR agreed as to participate in negotiations on Russian gas supplies in the Donbass, and to pay for these supplies.
