PACE rejected an amendment to the draft resolution on the credentials of the Russian delegation to the Assembly, according to which the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk people’s Republic de facto recognized as “terrorist organizations”.
This amendment was made a member of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE Irina Gerashchenko.
In General, the draft resolution on the credentials of the Russian delegation to PACE the voting will take place later.
Later it became known that the Assembly adopted the amendment on the suspension of Russia’s right to vote and be represented in the governing bodies of the Assembly at the opening session in April.
In turn, the head of the Russian delegation Alexei Pushkov said that Russia leaves the PACE until the end of the year.
