
The Zamoskvoretsky court of Moscow on March 2 will consider the complaint of a resident of Yekaterinburg Anton Burkov, which sought to recover from Google 50 thousand rubles for violation of the secrecy of correspondence, reports RIA Novosti correspondent from the courtroom.
Head of the Department of European law in a liberal arts University Ekaterinburg Anton Burkov has sued Google for that search robot, according to him, offered him a contextual advertising, analyzing the data from his personal correspondence.
The plaintiff requested to allow the company to use the information from the correspondence of users, and to collect 50 thousand rubles compensation.
In turn, the representative of Google called the company improperly by the defendant.
“Russian Google is not the Gmail service, the proper Respondent is the company Google Inc. in the United States,” said a company representative.
Burkov personally represent their interests in court.
“I was going to the European court of human rights and corresponded with friends on this topic. I immediately began to offer advertising on hotels in Strasbourg and visa (contextual advertising in Google). At that moment I realized that this cannot be a coincidence and my correspondence read,” he told RIA Novosti.
